Tie rod end plays a major role in comprising the steering & suspension system, which directly impacts vehicle control, safety, and tire life. During driving, bumps from uneven roads will be absorbed and the tie rod end functions by exerting vertical and horizontal steering forces to the car body.

USES:

Tie rods and tie rod end ball joints are what connect the steering rack gearbox to the steering knuckles so the turning input from the driver makes its way to the wheels. Tie rods thread onto the steering rack to also allow for steering alignment adjustments to be made.
